I know. Boring, boring.
But, so wonderful to me. I can't help it. I'm the mama.
My baby girl ... well ... my 15-year-old baby girl sang for the first time in "big" service last night to help out with worship. She typically only sings in youth so this was pretty cool.
Here's a snippet:
Love, love, love.
I wasn't able to be there because I was picking up yet more school supplies and helping La Petite Belle finish homework and study for her first big test. I'd rather have my fingernails pulled out one at a time, slowly, while having to drink a gallon of Kaopectate (remember that stuff? Gross.).
I hate homework. I'm pretty sure I hate doing homework more than she does. La Petite Belle is quite slow at the task.
I've come to terms with the fact that both my children live life at a different pace than me. I am fast. They are slow. You know what fast people can't stand? Slow people.
The homework is done at a snail's pace and is absolute torture for me.
I know, I know. We should all live life slowly ... take time to smell the roses ... or the coffee ... or whatever ... yada, yada, yada ...
Whatever. Gotta go ...
