It's hard being married to an almost-50-year-old.

I love Beau. You know I do.

But, he's starting to show his age. I think he'll be 45 next month. Yeah. Or maybe 44. I don't remember. Once you pass 40, there's really no use in counting anymore. I'm not.

One sure sign that you're getting older is the fact that you can't stay awake past 8:30 p.m. & can't stay asleep past 7:00 a.m. That's Beau in a nutshell.

While, I, on the other hand, can stay up until all hours of the night and can sleep until 9:30 a.m., even 10:00 a.m. sometimes. I'm guessing it's because I'm so much younger.

You can see the dilemma.

When he's sleeping, I'm awake. When I'm trying to sleep, he's waking me up.

Most of our TV/movie watching, namely "24", occurs at night. It usually goes like this ... we start ... first episode ... no problem ... second episode .. 10 minutes in, Beau's asleep. Two nights ago was no exception.

Problem is we were nearing the end of the entire series. We were 3 episodes away from the end and if any of you were "24" watchers, you know these things are intense, forcing you to want to watch the next episode with an extreme sense of urgency.

So last night I was out and received this text, after he re-watched the episode he fell asleep during the night before:

Hahaha!

That'll teach him to fall asleep.

So last night our series has come to an end. I will spend the weekend mourning over it being over. I don't know what I'll do without Jack Bauer in my life anymore.

So long, Jack! I'll miss you! (tear)
