Now, you're just messin' with me.

As I get older and realize my days of, as Prissie says, "birthin' babies" are over, I often rethink decisions that were made in the past to make this final. Final. Forever. No more babies.

This was a joint decision between Beau and me a long time ago after La Petite Belle came along.

It was logical. It was practical. It was the right decision.

I still think so.

But, even though I do think it was the right decision, I still get these feelings that come and go. You know the ones ... where you want another baby ... REALLY want another baby.

You even talk to your husband about adopting, but realize it's not a possibility.

Now, don't start feeling sorry for me. I'm OK ... really I am.

But, it doesn't make it any better when someone gets me a subscription to this magazine.
Yep ... got the welcome issue in the mail this week.

I think I know who the culprit is, but she denies it, even though I think she's just paying me back for getting her a subscription to "More" magazine ... the magazine for women, ages 40+. Hey, she's over 40. That makes the magazine for her, right? (shhh ... she's in denial and constantly says "you know what they say about payback, don't you?" ... sounds suspicious to me)

Whoever it was, thanks for nothing.

Don't think I'm not looking forward to a lot more alone time with Beau.

'Cause I am. I really am.

lol that is one of the funniest pranks I have ever heard. I am sorry if it made you sad though. I am sure that whoever sent it didn't mean for that. But, it is still pretty darn funny. ;)

Y'know what? The grass is always greener! Which ever way you go, it's healthy to reflect on our choices, but 'the path less traveled' always looks enticing in retrospect.
Now that I'm back in the fog of 24hour mothering,I'm really missing the world of work. Crazy - huh?

stranger things have happened ;) And I don't need to be the one to tell you that God has a sense of humor about babies....He just does :)

That's funny :) You should tell "whoever" it was that "vengeance is mine saith the Lord" :)

Girl! I went to lunch with friends and my two "babies" today and thought about the day when I won't be hunched over picking junk off the floor! But oh, that baby face! I love it. Part of the bittersweetness of motherhood huh? Thanks for your blog. I love it and am sorry for pretending like you are one of my best buddies, but chick I just love to hear what you have to say!

Too funny! Hey when I think about wanting a child, I just remember in a few more years my kids can have a child and then I'll enjoy being a grandma! I hear that's really the way to go!!! lol

LOL! My hubby has been snipped and he's the one who would adopt 12 kids tomorrow if I gave him the word. I.Am.Done.

Got an email from a friend last week, "had a dream about your... you were pregnant WITH TWINS."

My best friend sent me a subscription to "MORE" last year and I for the life of me couldn't figure it out for about 5 months. Finally she just asked me if I ever got the magazine and told me what she had done. And truth be told I miss my subscription to "Parents"!
