A Few Things ...

Finished Day 2 of the Shred. Don't think it's any easier. Actually, it's harder. Muscles tight. Sore. Hurting.

Lesson learned: Just because it's Cinco de Mayo does not give anyone the right to eat Mexican food all day long, both lunch and dinner, especially when that person has not one ounce of Mexican blood running through her veins.
But, it did inspire said person to want to make this for Bible study. (Are you allowed to make anything with the word "margarita" in the title for a Bible study?)

My friend, Carlie, is hosting a local Mother's Day giveaway. It involves cupcakes (here we go with more cakes). Cupcakes that are not only delicious, but beautiful. So beautiful, you might not want to eat them. Or maybe not. (If you're doing the shred, the cupcakes just give you more energy ... so it's OK.) Did I say it was only local? Yeah, it is. Even if you're not local, check out her cakes. Does anyone local read my blog? Hmm ...

Ordered this dress in green. If something looks good on a 6-foot model does not mean it will look good on your 5-foot-1/4-inch frame, (let's just say 5'3") short stuff. Have Stacey and Clinton taught me nothing? Short people cannot wear big, billowy, long dresses and must not wear long shirts that hide their crotch. Deal with it.

This Thursday, May 7th is National Day of Prayer. People all over America will gather and pray for our nation. You can go to this site, tangle.com, a family-friendly and faith-based video sharing site, and submit prayers online on tangle’s Prayer Wall. There are already over 100,000 prayers submitted ... personal prayers for healing, prayers for our nations, prayers for families, and lots more.

I got an award from H-Mama, whose hubby is actual real friends with my hubby. Weird. Found this out through blogging, not actually meeting. One day we'll meet though. Go visit her. She's cool.

And, why would I not get an award? I'm a recording artist, you know.
(Head cocked to the left)
(Head cocked to the right)
(Just wish I was recording an album and not a voice-over for baby dedications. Oh well, a girl can dream and pretend.)

Well, personally, I think the coffee cup makes you look very professional and nonchalant! The 'I do this all the time!' look - I like it!

I could NEVER pull off that dress... I am sure you will look great in it!!

I am SO sore today I can barely move. Jillian kicked more than my rear yesterday, but also my arms, my legs, my calves....

I LOVE that dress. I saw one similar at Old Navy, but said I wouldn't buy it until after the Shred. Guess what I'll be doing for the next 2o minutes?

You are adorable in that recording studio!

You're so cute! I always laugh when you mention Stacey and Clinton. I did that when I was out for my big shopping even a few weeks ago and my mom was totally clueless. "Who is this Stacy and Clinton you keep mentioning?"

You are still a cool recording artist!

Are you really only 5' 1/4"? That makes me like you even more. I'm 5 foot nothing...super short! But my loud mouth makes up for it.

As far as the Shred...met with a friend last night who progressed to Level 2...so hang in there!

Lastly, Stacy and Clinton ROCK! They have helped many, but there are SO many more.

Am I considered "local"? Because I will drive to Carlie's to get one of those darn cakes and Jillian can just deal with it.

I hide my crotch all the time. Wow, that's a weird statement. :) Don't tell Clinton & Stacy. I like tunic shirts because they hide my belly issues and the hidden crotch just comes with the territory.

I love that dress. I wish I could pull it off. Maybe with a tank underneath... Where did you get it?

I too love Cinco de Mayo!

I too have no mexican blood. But, I too will eat mexican for any reason! Day or night. Night and day. Day after day.

Hope the dress works fabulously!

Love the color green! I'm sure you will look great. You should share it with us when it comes in. I wish I could wear a dress like that... ususally end up looking 5 months prego with the empire waistline. :-/

LOL at the Margarita dessert and Bible study.

And the dress is very cute!

Oh Yum, the dessert looks scruptious and I'm dying to know what it tastes like. I'm wondering if it's anything like keylime pie or something. Hmmm? The dress will look adorable on you, I'm sure!

By the way....I think you look like a genuine, for real recording artist....great pics! Congrats on your award. :o)

Congrats on your new healthy shred thing! Love me some Stacy & Clinton. I think aside from reading the Bible, that should be pretty much manditory for every woman out there *L* So the dress didn't work, but tell me this, Mrs fashion, do you have your oh-so-fashionable nerdy suspenders yet?
