A Little Help Here

The following post will reveal why I am not a fan of the round brush and prefer the broad, flat brush instead.

When La Petite Belle got out of the bath this weekend and was getting ready for bed (hence the no shirt, which I'm just realizing she didn't have on), she bounded down the stairs, screaming for help (which is a common sound heard throughout the day at our house ... remember the boy who cried wolf ... meet La Petite Belle).

Granted, she was in quite an entanglement.
This child cannot just take a picture with a regular expression. Can you say, "Drama Queen"?
We did manage to rip  remove the brush from her hair. Only a few hairs were harmed in the process.

This was the only bit of excitement at my house recently ...

Unless you count ...

filling pieces of furniture with laundry,
watching every movie made pertaining to a Jane Austen book,
hatching a hair-brained scheme with my best bud to make $500,
cleaning up after Roxy-Belle's recent intestinal issues,
dog-sitting my mother's dog,
running in 47-degree weather (with a wind chill of freezing to death),
making homemade buttermilk biscuits that were horrible,
and making oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that made up for it.

While I don't personally know your family I would have to put money on the fact that she has to make silly faces, is because she is her father's daughter!

This child and my Karsyn would have some fun times together...I can tell.

YAY...for you getting your laundry washed. Mine's all still dirty.

Which means - I gotta get my buttttt in gear, so that my Saturday can be spent with you.

Can't wait!!

Owie! Those round brushes are dangerous. I vividly remember getting one stuck in my hair at the age of 9 at my grandma's house. It took 3 aunts, 2 uncles, and my Papa to get it out. ;-)

Le Petite Belle is so funny with her crazy faces! I'll say it again, she looks like Beau!

You write in such a humorous way!

Oh...but the round brushes with the soft bristles are this girl's best friend. Can't style my hair without them...regardless of the fact that the men(???) who cut hair at Toni & Guy have told me round brushes are so out. Who cares. This is the south...I'm going to stick with my round-brushed hair.

Are you McSchemey? I'd like to know a little about that one.

Poor girl....it's hard being beautiful!

I heart my round brushes - it is the only way a curl will stay in my hair! They were ALWAYS forbidden from my kids ;}

Love Jane Austin movies - just watched P & P on tv this weekend - although we have the movie. Why did we watch the movie with commercials when we have the movie?!

You think your house is crazy!

Oh, I love the Jane Austin movies. Have you seen the one bein' shown on the Ovation network? It's called 'Lost in Austen'. It's an interestin' twist on 'Pride and Prejudice'.

I just had a horrible flashback from SEVERAL instances of this occurring during my own childhood. I think I still have a bald spot on the side of my head.

I'm loving the Drama Queen expressions. :)

And...ahem...I think we need to hear a little more about the hair-brained scheme to raise $500?????

Ouch! I know that was uncomfortable for her. Still, she hammed it up for the camera - I bet she KNEW that was going to make the blog :) My kids ask me all of the time "Are you going to blog this?" Yep. Most likely.
