Picabo Street, I Am Not.

Note the differences:

Picabo can put on her ski boots without a fight. I cannot.

Picabo can walk in her skis up to the ski lift without stumbling. I cannot.

Picabo can stand in the ski lift line without bumping into other people, much less using these strangers as a support. I apparently cannot.

Picabo can get off the ski lift in a graceful manner. I cannot.

Picabo can ski downhill without looking like a pigeon-toed tight-rope walker, just trying to keep her balance. I definitely cannot.

Picabo could, most definitely, stop her own body to help her children if they've fallen. I cannot.

Picabo ventures onto the more challenging slopes. I do not.

Picabo is not worn out and sore at the end of one day of skiing. I am.

Here's my secret: I would have much rather been at the outlet, but don't tell my family.

Cute family picture! It looks like a Christmas card.

The outlet is like torture for my family. I just can't understand that...

But you would have missed out on a great family photo!

I tried to ski ONCE in my life. I accidently got on the wrong ski lift and went to the TOP of the mountain rather than the bunny slope. Hours later, after I cme down the entire way on my bootie, I made it down vowing never again to venture UP a snowy mountain!

I grew up skiing...all in my family ski well. However, in the last 10 years, I have not been once. why? I have found that sitting in a chair on the beach is much easier on my body, does not hurt, does not give me frost bite, no lines!!!

But it looks like you are having a GREAT time!

Love this post! I am no snow skiier, either! I spent more time on my rear than my feet and vowed to never try it again:) I have heard snow tubing is awesome and since I can sit in the tube, I think I may try this, cause I can sit with the best of them:)
Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip and get to go to the outlets.

I HATE HATE HATE skiing. I've only been once and I spent most of the trip facedown in the snow. It was awful.

I'd go to the outlet with you!

Great picture! I love to ski but I think I would have liked the outlet more too.

At least you actually went skiing. I'm too chicken to even try it. Kudos for you!

I've never been skiing before, but I want to so much! =) But...I don't think I'd be very good. I'm too klutzy.

I'm with you on that but I bet you are still havin' a great time.

You crack me up! I can sooo relate because I'm terrible at skiing and trying to get on and off the ski lift without wiping everyone else out, takes real skill. Apparently I don't have any of that skill and I'd rather be warm and cozy somewhere else....the outlet sounds good to me too!

I bet you can put on Chapstick better than Picabo!

Go ahead, try it :}

I am no Picabo either. I haven't been on skis since I was in college. I was younger and more flexible back then. I'm afraid one wrong turn and I'd be on the permanently disabled list. :-)

Have fun!

Picabo is like a living legend in Idaho!
I met her.
I can almost guarantee you trump her in so many areas...
Seriously.
You are a Good Wife and Good Mother to put their wants first.
Again, seriousl.
