Takin' Care of Business

First off, guess who I met yesterday?

Here's a picture with my crappy cell phone (because, of course, I forgot my camera ... wasn't on the list). I met Rachel from Musings of a Future Pastor's Wife yesterday and she's cute as a button. (Why a button? Is a button really that cute?) Well, she's as cute as cute can be. How's that? Dang, I look old.
I went to market in New Orleans and walked around with her for about an hour. Rachel, next time it will be longer. (Shhh ... we're planning a LA get-together, kinda like a day trip, nothin' crazy. You LA bloggers hollaback.)

But, guess what else?

I bought my "Dare to Wear" item. She bought an identical one in another color and I can't wait to show you all. I'm excited and scared at the same time to put them on.

Now, I got a few awards I need to mention.

This one from Fringegirl at The Domestic Fringe, a new blog I've been reading and love, love, love. Well, you know why I got it, right? 'Cause I'm so "Kreativ," with a "K," not a "C," and not spelled "Creative," because that would not be a kreativ way of spelling kreativ. That's how I roll. I'm big on misspelling words to get my point across. (FYI: I'm actually the church proofer, which I didn't want to tell you because then, if I made a mistake or misspelled a word, you would think I stunk at grammar and spelling. Anyway, this is my place to be free from that, so don't judge.)

Thanks, Fringegirl! Go by and check out her own kreativ blog.
Then, I got this one for the second time from Aspiemom from Then I Am Strong, another new blog I've been reading written by a sweet, sweet lady (notice the two sweets ... means super sweet). Thanks for this sweet (another sweet) award. Ya'll go by and say "Hey."

I linked you too!

I wasn't going to mention our finds, but I am really excited. I still have to show the hubby. Not looking forward to that reaction.

You know, we should get a button made for a LA bloggers get-together, so anyone in the region can grab it to publicize the get-together of awesomeness! (OK I'm being stupid, but you get my point.)

(And you do NOT look old - I still can believe you are as old as you say you are, because you do NOT look it. At least your hair isn't flat against your head!)

I'm so jealous that so many of you live in the same state! But beware: I pass through LA everytime we go home to Texas, so I'll be callin on y'all! How fun!

Did you just say, "I still CAN believe you are as old as you are"? Thanks. That was a major typo.

Is there going to be a fight now between you and Rach?
You do not look old. I know you are close in age to me, but we look like we just turned 30! come ON! And our outfits are going to prove it. Right? RIGHT? Gaosh I hope so, or I'm just gonna look like a fool!

Rolling over Rachel's comment and typo...and your response. :) You are both as cute as buttons, and I see no oldness here.

OH NO!!! I PROMISE that was supposed to say CAN'T!!!

Stupid blogger comments.

You know I think you look like you're 31 AT THE MOST - and I still think that even after meeting you in person!

Can't wait to see the item you bought for Dare to Wear! Today I blogged about an item that I rejected...I've included's BAD news. I'm still looking for that perfect item. Wish me luck.

Well, I love your blog, too, and would give you the award 50 times, so ... yeah. Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to the Belle of the Bloggy Ball because you bring so much joy to my life. Blessings!

Sounds like you two had a blast!

And you do NOT look old! Old is relative, anyhow. I'm 48 and I'm middle-aged, so how can you be old! You're way too classy-looking!

Too cool that the two of you got to meet!! Sounds like you totally hit it off, it's always so neat when that happens. :o)
Congrats on the awards, you so deserve them and more.
Happy Thanksgiving Mama Belle!

You two are adorable. I have enjoyed both of your blogs. I'm wondering if your LA blogger get-together can include neighbors close by in Mississippi?
