Dream Saturday vs. Real Saturday

What I want to do today ...

Sleep until 10:00 or at least 9:30
Go out for brunch
Shop at the Farmer's Market
Hit a huge shoe sale
Have a lawn person come and pull the weeds in my flowerbeds
Have my house clean without me doing it
Go for a run without getting tired or feeling any pain
Take my girls shopping for new clothes at their favorite store, The Limited Too
Have a steak for dinner
Curl up in my pjs on the couch next to my hubby and watch a great movie

What I will do today ...

Wake up at 6:30
Be alone with the girls because hubby is out of town
Cook breakfast of eggs and hash browns
Wash clothes and dishes and try to get as much cleaning done in the hours that I'm home as I can, while I'm not blogging
Tote girls around to activities
Get hair done because my straightener is crap
Be at church at 4:00 for rehearsal
Sing my heart out until 7:00
Get home around 8:00
Eat cereal and go to bed

Wake up Sunday morning (early) and start all over again.

I wish I could join you in the brunch and the huge shoe sale. I guess I can, in my dreams.

My day looks much the same. Already ran one kid and she is now at home. The other kid has A TON left in her day and this taxi driver is getting tired at 11am.

Wish I could curl up on the couch with my hubs and watch a movie tonight but we have to go to a youth group/parent function.

How about we bloggy girls make the decision to leave all of the normal crazy parts of our life and take a vacation? Maybe a cruise? Who knows?

At least it is fun to dream!

Yeah, the dream life sounds pretty good to me too. Someone to clean the house, you say? That would be perfect.

Hey, what kind of straightener do you have?

I have some no-name brand because the good one I had gotten at the beauty supply store fell on the floor and broke.

My birthday's coming up, so I'm hoping to get a Chi.

All hair straighteners were not created equal...for sure.

I heart your dream saturday.

Hope you choose a sugary cereal for supper :)

HI! I just found your blog from a link from Musings of a Pastor's Wife.

Thought I'd check out her other Louisiana buddies. Where exactly are you in Louisiana???

I'm in Denham Springs...hope you'll visit my blog.

I'm off to surf yours a bit more...

Hey there . . .

Do you ever wonder why people have to leave a nasty comment or email?

This guy is crazed . . . his blog is also private - no way to email him.

I am thankful for the moderate option.

How did your Saturday go?

Hopefully you had a good one!

Hug Dear Friend!

my husband and i were just discussing what we did on saturdays before having kids as we were rushing out of the house at 8:00AM for a baseball game.

sometimes i dream about spending the whole day reading a book in my pjs.... a girl can dream!

Ahh yes...perfect dream Saturday! :) I'm with ya there. :)
Some times I just try really hard to embrace real life - like, rockin out to some really great music while I do them nasty dishes. :) Life is good.

My dream is much like yours, but on my way out to the Jeep for shopping I stop at the money tree growing in my backyard and pick my daily needs before heading out!!

Sadly I woke up, and tackled the pile of laundry instead! :)

oooh if you figure out how to miraculously get the house clean without doing it or having to pay to have it done, please share your secret. I NEED a miracle like that.

Hope you have a great week!
