How many random things can one person have? And an award too!

I know you're probably sick of hearing about how wonderful I am, but here it goes again. Jeanette at Our Crazy Kids ... I Mean Life! gave me this beautiful award. O00hhh ... Ahhhhh ... isn't it pretty? Thanks so much, Jeanette! I feel like the nerdy girl in high school who became popular after she was befriended by the cool girls who gave her a makeover, and after she ditched her fellow nerdy friends and was finally asked out by the hot senior guy ... ummm, isn't that the story line in every teen movie? Anyway, I am offering this award to all other fellow bloggers who have felt like that nerdy girl. If I haven't already given you an award, you can take it! Thanks again, Jeanette!

I've been tagged by Beachy Mimi to list six random things about myself.

Oh, there are rules, but if you know me, you know I never follow the rules. Just consider yourself tagged when you don't have anything else to blog about. Simple enough.

Not sure how many more random things I can think of about myself. I feel like my whole blog is a list of random things, but here goes:

1. I was an All-American Cheerleader finalist two years in a row. Don't be hatin'.

2. All my young life and teen years, I wanted to be a ballerina and dance with the New York City Ballet.

3. I have basically no cartilage or kneecap & have had knee surgery thanks to numbers one and two ... too much jumping and leaping.

4. I'm not that old but, I hate to drive at night, just like an old lady ... because honestly I just can't see anymore.

5. I've been using my Magic Bullet like crazy - Strawberry-Banana Smoothies! Mmmmm! Pretty soon, Crappuccinos (see previous post).

6. I ran three miles tonight (even with my bum knee and even though I could feel my knee swelling as I ran). I figure I only have a few good years left to look good. I'm gonna take advantage of it and worry about my knee later.

I know this is random but I was just reading a book 7 pillars of health last night and it was talking about joint pain and such and how just drinking pure water would help. They recommended half your weight in ounces. When you don't drink enough water, your body takes water out of your joints (among other places) and uses it for your vital organs. I'm sure with your history, you probably don't have any cartilage to hydrate but just thought I'd throw that out there :)

BTW, I was going to try out for cheerleading one time in middle school and literally about broke my neck. I'm just not coordinated enough for that.

I love reading your posts! You always stay so real! Don't over do that running, that knee won't last forever - do you hurt much afterward?

Have you tried throwing in a handful of spinach into your smoothie? If not, you should try it! It doesn't make it taste better, but you'll feel better that you snuck in some greens! :) At least I do, cause that's the only way I get it!

I've got a bum knee, too. Too much soccer, gymnastics, and cheerleading in my younger days. Too much chasing of little boys in my older days... sigh.

Also wanting to be a prima ballerina, did you ever have a HUGE GIGANTIC crush on Mikhail Baryshnikov? Clipping every magazine and news article about him, and hanging every picture you could find on your wall, to the point of obsession?
Just curious, not like I did that or anything...

what? only a few more years to look good? OMG I don't know how old you are but I am drawn to your blog since I read your "surgery" post, feel in love with the BAYOU BOXMAN VIDEO and now.......... OMG........ you are really too hard on yourself and your looks, not trying to be bossy or opinionated here, but YOU LOOK GREAT and WORRY does make you age quickly so QUIT worrying about your physical self and enjoy your beautiful life in your beautiful town and your beautiful family! :)
