Go Away, Gustav!

Here we go, again!

Gov. Bobby Jindal has already issued a state of emergency and is telling everyone to be prepared now, not to wait until this weekend.

So, I've checked my battery stash. I've got enough water. Home Depot is already sold out of generators. Just gonna have to get to the store to get some food, like peanut butter, granola bars, crackers, etc. Don't think we can do the canned meat thing ... YUCK!

Beau is on a plane this morning, on his way to Dallas for a business trip. I know ... nice timing. But, I don't think the hurricane or tropical storm will hit until Sunday. He'll be back Saturday.

So, for now, I'm off to pack lunches for the girls and get them off to school.

Pray for the South as we prepare for this storm, especially New Orleans. I just don't think the people there can take another storm.

Drama Mama,

I haven't seen any lines, but I also haven't filled up yet. I'll do that tomorrow. We've been through this so many times. Never really sure when it's going to be a real threat to us. We're further inland than New Orleans. We live about 2 hours out of New Orleans, smack dab in the middle of the southern part of LA. I'll keep you posted. They said it shouldn't hit until Tuesday now. We'll see.

Will keep you in my prayers this weekend and will be watching to see where it goes. We just had 3 days of rain from Fay and could use some more from this one here in upstate SC, but not at someone else's expense, ya know!

Prayin' hard... all will be well as God takes you in his hands this weekend...
Hurricanes and tornados are something I'm all too familiar with, after living in TX for 36 years before coming here, exciting and scary all at the same time!

What in the world is up with the potted meat? My sister said Winn Dixie was fully out. Wal Mart is out too.

Umm...I'm with you. No potted meat in this house thank you. :)
