Stolen Idea

I'm totally stealing this post idea from Cindy at Still His Girl, mainly because I'm out of my own ideas and kind of a dull day, except for my sassy new haircut. Sorry, no pics. And I know you're just dying to hear more about me. Hey, it is MY blog, you know.

Can you believe we're already in the month of July?

This summer is flying by and the kids will be back in school before we know it.

So, here's what I've been up to this summer:

Watching ...
Lots of movies (Blockbuster delivered to my door) due to all my regular show being re-runs
Last movie seen ... P.S. I Love You (for the second time because I liked it so much)
FOX News
The Colbert Report

Reading ...
Just finished Sex God by Rob Bell last night ... great book, highly recommend. (Anything Rob Bell does is great.)
Starting The Barbarian Way by Erwin McManus tonight
The Book of Romans

Listening to ...
You already know this one ... The Essential Heart
Worth Dying For
My extremely diverse Itunes selections

Over-indulging in ...
Since the fast ... coffee and meat. (I know that sounds really gross together, but it is what it is.)
Watermelon, too!

Thankful for ...
The grace that God gives me to walk in every day
My precious family
Seeing God's healing hand in the lives of friends
How God surprises me sometimes with unexpected blessings, just like a real dad
Air conditioning
(Just not room enough to list all the things)

Praying for ...
Good friend who's just been diagnosed with cancer
Good friend going through a divorce
Good friend searching for a house
My daughters

Trying out ...
Allowing the girls to do more chores, even if the chores aren't done to my standards.

Gearing up for ...
Big 4th of July Celebration tomorrow at the church
The sadness and fear that I may experience when both girls go off to camp and Beau and I are all alone in the house
Tons of PTF stuff to do before school

Looking forward to ...
Sleeping late, which I've been trying to do all summer
Another girls' night ... in New Orleans this time, plus a sleep-over at my house in a couple of weeks
Working out again beginning in August
Our Ladies' Bible study

How about you?
