Best Quotes Ever

Tomorrow night I am alone. No husband. No children. Alone ...

Until my girlfriends come over at 7:00 p.m. for a slumber party.

That's right! I'm having a slumber party with junk food, facials, games, 80s music and movies ... all the good stuff.

I was at WalMart tonight (or as I like to call it, HELL) looking for Sixteen Candles, only the best slumber party movie ever. This movie reminds me of my youth. Of course, after all my searching, the clerk said that they didn't have it. So, I settled for Footloose and Dirty Dancing (also two ground-breaking movies, worthy of Academy Awards for sure). But, I can't stop thinking about Sixteen Candles and "Oh Sam, let me take a look at you. Fred, she's gotten her boobies." Grandpa: "I better get my magnifying glass." Grandma: "Oh, and they are so perky."

Not only that, but think of all the other great quotes that have shaped our lives:

"Nobody puts baby in a corner." Dirty Dancing

"Does Barry Manilow know you raid his wardrobe?" The Breakfast Club

"Here's a quarter. Why don't you go downtown and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face?" Uncle Buck

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once and a while, you might miss it." Ferris Bueller's Day Off

"Wax on, wax off." The Karate Kid

"I feel the need, the need for speed." Top Gun

"There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. T'would be a pity to damage yours." The Princess Bride

Only a few of the generous words of wisdom given to us in our youth. I hope our children become equally wise. (Please note the sarcasm in this entire post.)

16 Candles is the best...I had a SERIOUS crush on Jake and his red porche...he inspired my 3rd son's name ;)

Wish IA was a tad closer so I could join the fun!!!

Oh how fun!! I know you'll have a blast!

My favorite is Dirty Dancing, I watched that movie pretty much every single day in the summers. WHY on earth I was allowed to watch that?? I have no clue. I guess I had bad parents:)

My favorite is "I.. I carried the watermelon" It's so uncomfortable.

I did the same thing. The summer it came out on VHS, I watched it every single day. Not sure why my parents thought this was appropriate either.

Yeah, I'd be the one with the sheltering parents who was never allowed to watch Dirty Dancing, and have yet to see it - I know *Gasp*. :)
I'm so completely jealous of the slumber party. I would love to do something like this. Wait, maybe if I hop in my car right now I can make it...or not. :)
Have so much fun and take an insane amount of pictures to share. :)

Confession: I had to look up the quotes. I only knew a few.

Didn't want you to think I was a complete NERD.
