Tammy Wynette called ... She wants her hair back!

There was an experiment that occurred this morning in my bathroom involving me and a dusty, old set of hot rollers.

Here I am looking lovely in those rollers. You remember them. I would hot roll my hair every morning before school to get that giant hair of the 80s. So, I thought ... Hmmm ... I wonder what would happen if I did it now. Maybe, I could save some time in the morning doing this instead of the straightener.

So, here's what happened when the rollers came out. I felt like one of those big-haired country singers of the past. Check out Tammy Wynette's hair. There's a little similarity there.

Guess what I ended up doing with it? Pulling it back after frantically trying to brush it down and calm it down.

Lesson learned: Hot rollers belong with the 80s. Leave them there and NEVER touch them again. Ignore your curiosity from now on.

Side note:  It's obviously time to get new base for summer. My neck and arms are way darker than my face. I look like one of those old ladies whose face never matches their neck.

I loved all the comments on yesterday's post. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Thanks for keepin' it real, ladies.

I have rollers too - maybe it is time to donate them or even throw them out! What do you think? I agree the 80's belong in the 80's!

Now you know how I feel every-day!!!! AAHHHH! I can't wait till fall comes (and the humidity leaves) and my beloved straighter can help me out again!!

I need a big hair support group...

And, you're still beautiful, even with big wacked out hair :)

That is so funny. My hair looks like that all the time. When I use the flat iron, it only stays a little while (especially now). I think you look great no matter what you do.

ha - my hair's straight as a board! I use my hot rollers every day, just to curl the bottom. I have no time for the curling iron. :)

I still use mine almost every morning...! The secret it is to only leave them in for a few seconds... I am taking the first one out as soon as the last one goes in!
Being from the south...(not sure this was just a Texas thing...) do you remember the Pink sponge rollers? They would make your hair about 15 ft high? We would wear them the our hair wouldn't go flat from the parking lot.... **sigh** those were the days. GREAT blog by the way... Didn't mean to write a novel!
