Did you think I forgot?

Bloggy Giveaways Quarterly Carnival Button

It's that time again! So, here's what I'm giving away:

4 (count 'em) 4 "Gifts from a Jar" Books (1 soups, chilis, & more, 1 Christmas treats, 1 cakes, brownies, & more, and 1 for kids) These books come with the raffia, fabric, and recipe cards. All you need to do is put the ingredients in the jars and they're ready to go.

1 "The Sunflower Parable" book for kids - This is a sweet book about the value of planting seeds, not only in the ground, but also in the hearts of your friends and neighbors.

All of these books are brand new. The "Gifts from a Jar for Kids" is paperback and does not come with the fabric and ribbon. I don't know why they didn't make this one like the others, but it does have the recipe cards.

What do you have to do to win? Just leave a comment and answer this question in your comment or it won't count: What is the best gift you have ever received from someone?

This is open to bloggers and non-bloggers, but I will only ship in the U.S. I will randomly draw a name on Sunday, the 27th and post the winners and also contact you on your site.

So, have fun! And go back and enter hundreds of giveaway contests at the carnival.

this sounds like a wonderful collection. I've got children from 11 years to 1 year and they all (except baby so far) love to try to cook meals. These would be great. Happy Bloggy Day!

My best gift would be a book. No one ever asks me what I want and when they do and I say a certain book I never get it. I get a blender, or coffee maker which I already have three of. When my sister bought me a writer's book I wanted it touched me because she listened and acknowledged my dream.

These sound AWESOME!

My best gift ever would have to be my mother's neclace my hubby gave me when we had our third son. It represents me being a mommy and my hubby's desire to treat me like a princess! Of course, my kids are pretty nice gifts too (on most days :-)!

Thanks for offering a giveway!

I love the Gifts from a Jar and have always wanted to try them out!
It's so hard to think of the best gift I have ever received...it is so much easier to remember the gifts I have given...but I think the best gift I ever received would have to be from my mom and dad! For my 15th birthday I got my teeth whitened and I loved it! Thanks Mom and Dad!

The best gift I ever got (aside from my hubby and my children) is a sweatshirt my husband had made up for me. He wrote me a poem and had someone turn it into a sweatshirt for me. I LOVE that sweatshirt. 10+ years later, and a few stains and rips and I still wear it. It came from his heart.

I can be reached at the URL attached to my name. Thanks!

Those books look like a real treat!

I followed the link from Why Ask Why to your blog. It looks like a fun place to be!

My best gift...hmmm... this past week was my birthday and my hubby sent me to the store to buy flowers for my pots and when I came home, he had baked a cake complete with pink frosting. That was a great gift.

The best gift I ever received was my daughter Hannah..after that I would say the diamond necklace given to my by my mom representing the 3 sisters...priceless

My 18th birthday arrived amidst a lot of family difficulty, and would have gone past, utterly unnoticed, were it not for my best friend, who had flowers (made to look like a sundae, so cute) delivered to my last class of the day. It's been a long time since then, and I have been given some truly lovely, thoughtful gifts over the years; but for the sweetness and sincerity of the gesture, I'll always remember the flowers from Annie the best. (It goes without saying that she is still my best friend!)

What a great giveaway! These books look like they would be VERY useful, and my boys would enjoy the book about sunflowers!

Best gift? That is an easy one..my husband surprised me on Christmas 06 with my macbook! Since you are a mac user, you can appreciate how much this means to me!

Please stop by and enter my giveaway as well!

Oh, I've always wanted to give those gifts in a jar but am too disorganized to get all the stuff together. I think I could do it with those books, though!

My best gift, hmmm...after my children, I think it would be this Christmas, my husband took me on a shopping spree and bought me a lot of clothes!

Tracie said...

Love those books!

I would have to say the best gift I have ever received was from my husband and the kids on Mother's Day 2006. It was 4 collage picture frames (black ones from Target that I had been eyeing for several weeks). My husband took a bunch of pictures of the kids over a course of a few weeks and had them printed in black and white to go with those black frames. Then chose the perfect pictures to go inside each square. Each child had their own frame of their own pics to give me.

I ABSOLUTELY love it.

And they surprised me with breakfast and presents in bed!!!

It was definitely something that took a lot of time and planning on my husband's part. I think that's why it is my favorite!!

Those books look great! Best, or at least most memorable, gift, for my 4th b-day my parents gave me a teddy bear, I was 100% a doll girl so I was so confused as to why they gave me a bear instead of a doll, then they told me it was for my new baby brother (we'd been praying for a baby and the baby we adopted was born 10 days before me b-day, out of state, so it took a few weeks to get him).

The best gift i have ever received was a Willow Tree mother and daughter when I was pregnant with my daughter (the only girl of 4) from my husband. Actually, the best gift he gave me was the daughter (after all those boys hee hee hee)

I would love these! I've always wanted to make "gifts in a jar." The best gift I ever received was a gold ring with a garnet heart - my birth stone - when my husband and I were trying to conceive our first child and I really *thought* we were pregnant but then found out we weren't... I absolutely wasn't expecting any present at all but my sweet husband picked me up at work with this darling ring... and that month we *did* get pregnant, so I call it my "miracle ring." :)

Lisa said...

What a cool idea! I have never made the jar gifts, but I have received them in the past.

The best gift I have ever received.....this might sound cheesy, but the best gift I have ever received would have to be my children. I sat here thinking about material gifts and trying to think of one that stood out to me, but really, the best gift of all has been Sophie and Sam (and soon to be #3).

Robin L said...

The best Christmas gift I ever got was my Commodore 64 computer when I was a kid.

Not really a gift, but one of the nicest things ever done for me... my husband saved my computer when we had a house fire a week ago. In the process of saving my computer, his computer burned up. My computer has all the pictures, so I'm very thankful for him!

These look like wonderful books and I would love to give them a try!

The best gift I would have to say was time. This past Valentines Day, which I should add my hubby doesn't not celebrate. He got off work early and cooked me dinner. He always works evening so this was extra special to have time with him. I was completely surprised!

I would have to say that this year for Christmas when My Mom and Dad donated money to buy malaria nets and school books in Our Family's name. This was the first year they actually listened to the fact that we really didn't need or want anything and the money went to a good cause instead. Very heartwarming.

I just answered this EXACT question on my blog the other day! :)

From someone (my dh): my Tahoe. I was massively pregnant and driving a 5 speed civic. He bought the Tahoe for me to have more room with my belly and for more room when the baby showed up! :)

In general, the best gift I have been given is my family. What a blessing each and every one of them are.

Those books look like fun! Maybe I'll win this time!:)

The best tangible gift I received was a beaded bracelet from my preschooler for mother's day. I can actually wear it without looking like I'm wearing something a toddler made, and it makes her so proud when she sees it on my wrist.

Great giveaway! Thanks for offering! I think that one of the best gifts I received was from my husband just a few months ago. He had been traveling quite a bit for work, and we were in the middle of buying a home, so a lot of the legwork was left up to me, along with taking care of our 2 girls. When he got home from one trip, he handed me an envelope with a GC to Starbucks (my most favorite place) with instructions to go and hang out with a good book for some "me" time! It was so perfect for just that time and it totally made my day!
