Out of the Mouth of Babes

Katie, my youngest, finds it very difficult to not voice her opinion in every situation. Hence, this post. Here are her latest comments:

Richard was talking with me on the phone and venting about someone. He didn't sound too happy. He was driving and Katie was in the back seat. As he's venting to me on the phone, I hear Katie's voice in the distance ... "Forgive people, Daddy!" Ah, what lessons we can learn from our stinkin' kids.

Last night we were at dinner with Richard's brother and his wife. Katie was with us. When it came time to say the blessing, Richard's brother offered to say it. His prayer in Katie's opinion was a little lengthy or maybe she thought she would have done a better job as we could see from her expression. Richard's brother asks her, "Was that too long for you?" She didn't say anything. Then, I said, "Katie is the one that usually says the blessing at our house. She likes to say it. And sometimes her prayers can be a little lengthy too." She says very indignantly, "Hey, you don't rush with God."

As you can see from these pics, she is not shy at all. This first pic is from when we went to Disney World last October. This is her imitating the little dolls in "It's a Small World."

Here she models a scarf set she got for Christmas. She's quite a ham!

My oldest daughter is totally opposite - doesn't always have to be the STAR of the show. This is probably a good thing. I'm going to post some pics of her tomorrow (with Katie) so that you can see the difference,  not only in appearance, but in personality.

Your daughter is beautiful! I love how two people who came from the same two people can be so different.

I can't wait to see it with my own girls!

She's so pretty! And i love that "Forgive people daddy". Sometimes if we'd listen to what we tell our children to do, life would be better!

You have beautiful daughters!

Oh, we can learn so much from our children, can't we!? :)

I don't know if you've run across it or not, but Notbefore7 hosts Tiny Talk on Tuesdays and this would be a perfect post to link up (if you'd like). Just thought I'd extend the invitation!

Hope you've had a good weekend!

So glad you linked in to TTT! What an adorable daughter. Mine are completely opposite as well!

The comment in the car was beautiful - amazing how quickly they absorb and accept things!

Happy TTT.
